Man with heavy accent claimed he is from Medicare to activate new vision/dental benefits on the recently mailed Medicare card and wanted to confirm info from the card He started with the name on the card.) Refused to disclose the address he is calling from , but did give the real Medicare phone number. Public awareness regarding these scams should be promoted through all possible channels. TV, Medical offices, ets. Now the more vulnerable part of our society is targeted by these phishers.

I’m in Texas. This call came in at 12:33 PM central time. No one answered at first. I kept saying hello. Then somebody who said his name was Robert picked up. I hung up and blocked him.
This number calls several times per day and even after 8pm. Somehow they know I'm on Medicare and try to sell something. I have asked them to stop calling several times yet they persist.
Claims to be a DNA service for Medicare.. as if Medicare wouldn't already have the names, addresses and phone numbers of its clients and have no need to repeatedly call a household where no one receives it.
